TI Media was a consumer magazine and digital publisher in the United Kingdom, with a portfolio selling over 350 million copies each year. Most of its titles now belong to Future plc.
During my time at Ti Media, I made rich media ads and helped consult on design for many brands within the categories of luxury fashion and beauty, auto, beverage and food, and many film and TV brands. Day-to-day pitch work for new businesses took up my time until campaigns came in for the work we won.
We made Skins, Revolvers, Banners, Video content, Interscrollers, and more. Each day was different and tested my skills in UX design as well understanding each brands personality, branding and concepts to create something bespoke and personal to them. Turn arounds were quick and deadlines strict. I loved the fast pace of the work.
Sony Pictures
I designed a Skin format with the main aim of getting audiences to book tickets to see the new film ‘Once Upon A Time In Hollywood’. The user could click on the CTA throughout to book their ticket as well as use the navigation to the left to explore the personality of each character. As they select a new character the side panels and central panel change including a Spotify code which the user can scan with their phone to go to the song in the film playlist. The song will also play within the unit making this ad fun and engaging creative.
Dr Martens
Interscroller formats are great ads for native advertising while scrolling through content the user will scroll in and out of the ad meaning less disruption for the user. In this Dr Martens campaign, I created an awareness ad that showcased the new styles the brand had on offer and encouraged users to shop through the website.
Debenhams
This Revolver format was perfect for Debenhams to engage its market. A main TVC plays to the left and the user can click on each outfit to find out the price and click to ‘Shop the Look’.
Tanqueray
Tanqueray was fun to work on as they had no assets to supply us for this pitch so I had to illustrate the animated woman. Following their campaign at the time I used the female figure to brainstorm the idea that as the user scrolls, the woman’s blindfold would move down over the female’s face accentuating the “It’s all in the taste” caption. A fun and quirky awareness ad which would catch the user’s eye.
Studio Collateral
General studio collateral was also a responsibility of mine creating anything from invites to agencies for company events to business cards for our studio and the sales team as well as flyers to showcase what it is the studio can do for clients and finally designing video animations to spotlight different categories of ads which were displayed on our social media.
